15 October 2012, New York - The Philippine Consulate General in New York  in cooperation with Alumni Associations of Philippine schools, colleges, and universities held the first-ever “Homecoming sa Konsulado: Sama-Sama para sa Kaunlaran ng Pilipino” at the Kalayaan Hall and Annex of the Philippine Center in New York on 13 October 2012.

12 October 2012, New York -  As part of the commemorative activities marking the celebration of Filipino-American History Month, the Philippine Consulate General in New York hosted an “Evening with Dr. Gabriel Esteban” on 11 October 2012 at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center in New York.

29 September 2012, New York -  Ambassador Ruperto M. Dizon, whose last foreign posting was as Philippine Ambassador Extraodinary and Plenipotentiary to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan prior to his retirement, was conferred the Distinguished Service Award at a ceremony held at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center in New York on 27 September 2012.
