02 May 2013 – In preparation for the conduct of elections for overseas absentee voters on May 13, Philippine Consulate General in New York personnel and officials from attached services who were deputized by COMELEC as chair/members of the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI) took their oath of office before Consul General Mario L. De Leon, Jr. at the Kalayaan Hall Annex of the Philippine Center.

The good news about the resurging Philippine economy has come to Boston.

In a US-wide investment roadshow that made its last stop in Boston, Massachusetts on 26 April 2013, a team of topnotch Filipino CEOs of major Philippine companies briefed an audience mostly composed of corporate executives, business owners and business school students on the investment and business prospects in the Philippines.

28 April 2013, New York - H.E. Jose L. Cuisia, Jr., marked the beginning of his third year as Philippine Ambassador to the US by taking part in a private-sector led Philippine Trade and Investment Roadshow at the Massachusetts State House and at a Get-together with the Filipino-American Community in New England at the Harvard Student Center. Both events took place on 26 April 2013.

22 April 2013 – The Consulate General conducted a consular and passport outreach for Filipino community in Needham, Massachussetts last April 20. Needham is a few miles away from Watertown, Massachussetts where the Boston bombing suspects were apprehended by police authorities last April 19.
