QUARANTINE PERIOD FOR FULLY VACCINATED FILIPINOS FROM US
SHORTENED FROM FIVE TO THREE DAYS<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t

The Philippine Consulate General in New York wishes to inform the public that kababayan from the United States will have a much easier time going back home to the Philippines this holiday season.<\/p>

Per Resolution No. 149-A of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATF), starting November 22, fully-vaccinated individuals who have pre-departure RT-PCR tests within 72 hours will only need to undergo facility-based quarantine for three (3) days instead of the previously required five (5) days.<\/p>

After the third day, they would have to take an RT-PCR test. Once the test results turn out negative, they are enjoined to self-monitor up to the 14th day from the date of their arrival.<\/p>

This latest development will greatly contribute to the on-going recovery of the tourism sector this holiday season while also providing more time to those who want to return home to be with their loved ones in the Philippines.<\/p>

Unvaccinated, partially unvaccinated individuals shall undergo facility-based quarantine for seven days, after which they would have to take an RT-PCR test, to be followed by home quarantine up to the 14th day upon the release of a negative test result.<\/p>
