The Philippine Consulate General in New York and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in New York, in partnership with Weee!<\/i>, hosted the \u201cLaunch on Weee!<\/i>\u201d webinar on 14 March. This webinar was designed for Filipino and Filipino American entrepreneurs in the Northeastern United States, aiming to empower them to expand their reach within the United States through the Weee!<\/i> Marketplace.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Weee!<\/span><\/i> is the largest and fastest-growing e-commerce platform in the United States, offers an extensive selection of products spanning bakery items, snacks, dry goods, household necessities, and self-care products. The platform provides a unique opportunity for third-party vendors to directly engage with Weee!<\/i> customers, thereby unlocking significant growth potential for businesses.<\/span><\/p>

The webinar offered valuable insights on the process of becoming Weee!<\/i> retailers, along with detailed strategies on how to effectively utilize the Weee!<\/i> platform to maximize the visibility of Filipino products and drive sales.<\/span><\/p>

In his welcome address, Consul General Senen T. Mangalile highlighted the significance of this initiative, \u201cThis collaboration [with Weee!<\/i>] underscores the Consulate’s dedication to promoting Filipino businesses abroad. Weee!<\/i> distinguishes itself by offering affordable access to a wide range of exciting ethnic foods, including our cherished Filipino cuisine, thus serving one of the largest underserved segments in retail.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

He elaborated on the Consulate’s broader mission, stating, \u201cSupporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), especially those led and run by women, is a priority for the Consulate. This focus is in alignment with our celebration of National Women’s Month and the upcoming Filipino Food Month, highlighting our commitment to economic empowerment, gender equality, and the promotion of our rich culinary heritage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>
