The Philippine Consulate General in New York invites all who are interested and qualified to apply for the position of Building Maintenance Personnel\/Handyman.<\/p>\n

The successful applicant will perform the following tasks:<\/span>
<\/p>\n

– Inspection of the building and its common areas, elevator, sidewalk, yard, and main entrance.<\/p>\n

– Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping and disposal of garbage & recyclables, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.<\/p>\n

– Implementation of all Training Manuals necessary for the upkeep of the building.<\/p>\n

– Building maintenance and repairs, which include, among others, simple carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.<\/p>\n

– Respond promptly to emergency calls and take the necessary actions to ensure the safety and security of the building and its occupants.<\/p>\n

– Serve as point person for all occupant-related issues; and <\/p>\n

– Perform any other duties reasonably necessary for the proper maintenance and operation of the building.<\/p>\n

The position requires reporting at the Consulate for five (5) days a week and for a minimum of eight (8) hours of service per day from Monday to Friday.  <\/span>
<\/p>\n

The prospective applicant must:<\/span>
<\/p>\n

 (a) possess the relevant work experience;<\/p>\n

 (b) be a US citizen or holder of a permanent resident card;<\/p>\n

 (c) have no criminal record.<\/p>\n

The basic compensation is US$3,422.00 a month.<\/span>
<\/p>\n
