Over 70 guests were in attendance, including representatives from Filipino community organizations, the New York Police Department, various departments of the New York City government, and Filipinos from diverse backgrounds, both Muslim and non-Muslim.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 50%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">The event was organized in partnership with the <i>Kinding Sindaw<\/i> Heritage Foundation, Inc., and it aimed to promote unity and solidarity among Filipinos of all faith traditions. During the event, Consul General Senen T. Mangalile welcomed the participants and highlighted the shared values that unite all Filipinos, regardless of their religious beliefs. Everyone was urged to work together in helping others overcome barriers, address inequality, and ensure that all Filipinos can benefit from the promise of <i>Bagong Pilipinas.<\/i><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormalCxSpFirst\" style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 50%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 50%; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';\">This year marked the 8<sup>th<\/sup> edition of Post\u2019s annual Unity Iftar event, which has become a significant communal gathering during the holy month of Ramadan. It provides an opportunity for Filipinos to come together in solidarity with Filipino Muslims and join them in breaking their fast at sunset.
