Consul General Senen T. Mangalile represented the Philippine Consulate General in New York at the gala. \u201cAs Consul General of the Philippines in New York, part of my mission is to promote Filipino culture, identity, and heritage. Filipino creatives have so much to offer. \u201cWe deeply believe that the time is ripe for Filipino artists, designers, and innovators to claim their rightful place in the world,\u201d said Consul General Mangalile in his message.<\/span><\/p>

The Philippine Consulate General’s invitation to the gala followed its successful collaboration with FILIPINXT for its maiden show in New York City on 5 May 2024, which also featured Marry Me at Marriott. This event, which was led and run by Filipinos, highlighted the talents of Filipino designers and emphasized the significance of bridging Philippine creativity with the global market.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

To celebrate its 10<\/span>th<\/span> edition, Marry Me at Marriott featured designers Bessie Besana, Veejay Floresca, Hannah Kong, Axel Que, and Wilson Limon, representing New York, Los Angeles, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, respectively. The event provided a prestigious platform for up-and-coming designers to showcase their work, emphasizing the commitment to both global and local or \u201cglocal\u201d creativity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

The gala, renowned for its grand displays of bridal elegance, presented a stunning array of bridal creations that blended traditional Filipino elements with contemporary designs. Guests also enjoyed a gourmet dining experience curated by Marriott Hotel Manila\u2019s Executive Chef Meik Brammer.<\/span><\/p>

Mr. Bruce Winton, Multi-Property Vice President for the Philippines at Marriott International, expressed his excitement about the event, saying, \u201cThese campaigns convey our commitment to making Marriott the ideal place for creating lasting memories and award-winning moments. Every occasion deserves to be a Marriott moment, and we’ll continue to champion Filipino talent, making them globally competitive with a heart that’s locally ingrained.\u201d<\/span><\/p>
