NEW YORK CITY, 11 February 2026<\/strong> \u2014 The Philippine Consulate General in New York and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in New York, in partnership with the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce (PACC), officially launched the 2026 U.S. Business Mission to the Philippines, entitled “Investing Forward: Philippine Economic Outlook and Launch of the U.S. Business Mission to the Philippines<\/em>“, \u00a0at the\u00a0 Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center in New York on 11 February 2026.<\/span><\/p>

The event, part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Philippines\u2013U.S. diplomatic relations, brought together business executives, investors, Filipino-American professionals, and industry leaders for an in-depth look at the Philippine economy and the opportunities available through the mission.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Consul General Senen T. Mangalile cited compelling reasons to invest in the Philippines, namely robust economic fundamentals, a young and digitally native population, and its proximity to the ASEAN market.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

During the briefing on the Philippine economic outlook, Dr. Ronilo Balbieran of the University of Asia and the Pacific and Atty. Marian Santos, Senior Director at SGV & Co. and Manager at the National Tax Asia Pacific Business Group of Ernst & Young, briefed the attendees on the benefits of investing in the Philippines, citing macroeconomic trends, policy reforms, and emerging sectors for investment.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Following the briefing, Consul General Senen Mangalile and Trade Commissioner Alma Argayoso led the ceremonial launch of the mission, accompanied by representatives from the Consulate and Philippine American Chamber of Commerce.\u00a0 It was followed by a special message from Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez inviting U.S. companies to participate and deepen their engagement with one of Southeast Asia’s most resilient and fastest-growing economies.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Set for July 2026, the U.S. Business Mission will include visits to Manila, the Luzon Economic Corridor (Manila\u2013Clark\u2013Subic), and Palawan for high-level briefings, business-to-business (B2B) meetings, site visits, and engagements with key Philippine government and private-sector partners.<\/span><\/p>
