The Filipinos reached out to the Consulate after they exhausted all means at their personal disposal. The Consulate, in turn, conducted welfare checks and ascertained their status as distressed overseas nationals requiring repatriation in accordance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations of the Philippines and the United States of America.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They were met by social workers from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas and officers from the Philippine Bureau of Immigration upon arrival at NAIA.
