Public Advisory 041-202221 April 2022 CHANGE IN BALLOT FEEDING SCHEDULE FOR 21 APRIL The Consulate General of the Philippines wishes to inform all approved and accredited poll watchers, media entities, and observers that due to the scheduled disinfection of the Philippine Center tomorrow at 6pm, we shall be moving the scheduled ballot feeding of 21 April to 1:00pm EST instead. This will still be conducted at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center in New York City.Poll watchers are reminded that per COMELEC Resolution No. 10751, political parties are limited to only one (1) watcher per SBEI at any given time. As New York PCG has two SBEIs, Political Parties are entitled to two (2) accredited watchers at any given time.All accredited poll watchers must present to the Chairperson of the SBEI their appointments and that they shall at all times bear the appropriate IDs signed by the duly authorized representative of the Political Party who appointed them.As the Consulate is undergoing suspension of operations due to several staff being exposed to the COVID-19 virus, we strongly encourage you to instead witness the ballot feeding via our livestream on our FaceBook page. Public Advisory: Reminder to Poll Watchers, Media Entities, Election Observers

Public Advisory 040-202220 April 2022 REMINDER TO POLL WATCHERS, MEDIA ENTITIES, ELECTION OBSERVERS Please be reminded that per COMELEC Resolution No. 10751, political parties are limited to only one (1) watcher per SBEI at any given time. As New York PCG has two SBEIs, Political Parties are entitled to two (2) accredited watchers at any given time.All accredited watchers must present to the Chairperson of the SBEI their appointments and that they shall at all times bear the appropriate IDs signed by the duly authorized representative of the Political Party who appointed them.Ballot feeding is scheduled every Monday and Thursday afternoon after consular operating hours. Public Advisory: Suspension of Consular Services Due to Staff Exposure to Covid-19

Public Advisory 037-202219 April 2022 SUSPENSION OF CONSULAR SERVICES DUE TO STAFF EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 The Philippine Consulate General in New York informs the public that consular services will be suspended beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, 20 April 2022 to ensure the safety of kababayan in view of multiple COVID-19 exposures of Consulate personnel.Kababayan who visited the Philippine Center on Monday, 18 April 2022 and today, 19 April 2022, are advised to check themselves for symptoms and/or to get themselves tested.Normal consular operations will resume on Monday, 25 April 2022.Kababayan with appointments scheduled tomorrow, Wednesday 20 April 2022 until Friday, 22 April 2022, will be contacted by email to inform them of their new appointment dates.The Consulate will, however, accommodate Filipinos in distress and other emergency cases.The Consulate will also continue Overseas Absentee Voting preparations and operations.We ask for the public’s patience and understanding as we endeavor to ensure everyone's health and safety.

Public Advisory: Registered Overseas Voters with Change of Address or Pick Up of Ballots

Public Advisory 030-202216 April 2022 REGISTERED OVERSEAS VOTERS WITH CHANGE OF ADDRESS OR PICK UP OF BALLOTS The Philippine Consulate General in New York would like to inform registered overseas voters who requested to pick up their ballots or have these mailed to their new addresses, that their ballots may have been mailed out already.Those who recently moved can request the United States Postal Service (USPS) for automatic forwarding of all mails from their old address to their new address.  Please check with USPS on this matter.  If no mail forwarding has been availed of, the Consulate shall endeavor to look out for and hold the ballot so it will not be delivered to the old address.It should be noted that the Consulate only received the ballots from the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) on 11 April 2022 and is doing its best to mail these to all the 39,048 registered voters under its jurisdiction to ensure that they get to exercise their right to vote.For further clarifications or inquiries, please send an email to newyorkpcg.ov@dfa.gov.ph.Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Public Advisory: On Alleged Insufficient Postage for Return Envelopes Containing Ballots of Overseas Voters in the United States

Public Advisory 029-202212 April 2022 ON ALLEGED INSUFFICIENT POSTAGE FOR RETURN ENVELOPES CONTAINING BALLOTS OF OVERSEAS VOTERS IN THE UNITED STATES The Philippine Consulate General in New York has been made aware of a social media post that is circulating alleging that a foreign service post in the United States had sent out election packets to registered voters containing return envelopes with insufficient postage. The said social media post claimed that as a result of the insufficient postage, envelopes containing ballots would not be delivered. The same post irresponsibly claimed undelivered ballots would be substituted. Unfortunately, said post did not provide any proof for us to look into said claim. We would like to assure our kababayan that election packets and the return envelopes containing ballots that were sent to them have sufficient postage. We went twice to the Post Office—on Monday afternoon before we mailed the initial batch of ballots and again on Tuesday morning—to have the election packets and return envelopes weighed to ensure these have the correct stamps. We are committed to ensuring that all qualified members of the Filipino Community get to exercise their right to vote.
