Public Advisory 068-202216 May 2022 NEW YORK CITY SOON TO ENTER HIGH COVID-19 ALERT LEVEL The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York wishes to inform all kababayan that the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene will soon be issuing an advisory raising the COVID-19 alert level in New York City to high as a result of the increasing rate of COVID-19 hospitalizations and rolling new cases.The New York State Department of Health, on the other hand, has identified the following high risk counties for COVID-19: Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Sullivan, and Ulster.Kababayan are advised to continue exercising more stringent COVID-19 safety protocols, such as wearing a face mask in public indoor settings, getting tested, staying home if sick or recently exposed, washing one’s hands, and getting vaccinated or boosted.

Public Advisory 067-202211 May 2022 NEW YORK ELECTION RESULTS TRANSMITTED TO COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS (COMELEC) The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs kababayan that the election results in the United States Northeast of the recently concluded overseas voting were successfully delivered to the Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) at the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington D.C. before noon today.The election results in New York were then successfully transmitted by the SBOC to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in Manila at around noon today.

Public Advisory 066-202210 May 2022 DELIVERY OF ELECTION RESULTS IN NEW YORK TO WASHINGTON DC The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs kababayan that overseas voting was declared successfully concluded yesterday, 09 May 2022. Canvassing of votes was concluded at around 9 p.m. yesterday, 14 hours after close of voting was declared at 7 a.m.However, the results could not be immediately transmitted to the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington D.C. because the transmission equipment could not acquire the required signal due to the presence of high-rise buildings around the Philippine Center.The Consulate has requested the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for authority to hand deliver the election results and other election paraphernalia to the Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) in Washington DC.The authorization is expected to be received tonight, after which the election materials will be delivered first thing tomorrow.Maraming Salamat Po!

Public Advisory 062-202207 May 2022 AN ADDITIONAL DAY OF BALLOT FEEDING The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs all approved accredited watchers, media entities, election observers, and the general public that due to the influx of ballot envelopes and to ensure the timely counting of all received ballots, the Consulate will be conducting an additional ballot feeding day on Sunday, 08 May starting at 2 p.m. at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center, until all remaining valid ballots are fed and counted. This is in addition to the daily ballot feeding days from 02 to 07 May 2022. The ballot feeding will also be streamed live on the Consulate's Facebook page.On Election Day, Monday, 09 May 2022, the printing of election returns will begin at 7 a.m.All accredited watchers, media entities, and election observers who plan to observe the ballot feeding in person are reminded to comply with Commission on Elections (COMELEC) regulations on presenting their papers to the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI), wearing their IDs while inside the Philippine Center, and adhering to the Consulate's prevailing health protocols.

Public Advisory 060-20226 May 2022 SIMULTANEOUS USE OF ALL VOTE COUNTING MACHINES The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs all accredited media entities, poll watchers, election observers, and the public that pursuant to Commission on Elections (COMELEC) letter Number OFOV-2022-0980 dated 02 May 2022, the Consulate is authorized to use the contingency Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) to feed postal ballots simultaneously with the main VCMs. This is to ensure the timely counting of all ballots that the Consulate has been receiving.The authorization is also extended to allow the simultaneous use of all VCMs for the printing of election returns and other counting related activities on Monday, 09 May 2022.
