Advisory No. 4-2021: Winter Storm Watch In Effect Beginning Tonight, 31 January 2021

ADVISORY No. 4-2021 31 January 2021 WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT BEGINNING TONIGHT, 31 JANUARY 2021 The Philippine Consulate General in New York wishes to inform the public that the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch beginning 7PM tonight, 31 January 2021 to 6AM of Tuesday, 02 February 2021, with the heaviest snowfall expected during 01 February 2021. Much of the tri-state area could see between 6 and 12 inches of snow. The Philippine Consulate advises the community to take the necessary precautions. As of today, there are no plans to suspend consular operations for tomorrow, 01 February 2021, although this may change depending on the announcements of the New York City local government on the prevailing weather conditions. Advisory No. 3-2021: Important Amendments to PH Travel and Quarantine Restrictions

ADVISORY No. 3-2021 22 January 2021 IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS TO PH TRAVEL AND QUARANTINE RESTRICTIONS The Philippine Consulate General in New York wishes to inform the public of the following important amendments relating to Philippine travel and quarantine restrictions that seek to address the public health threats posed by the Covid-19 variants: FOREIGN PASSENGERS will CONTINUE TO BE PROHIBITED from entering the Philippines until 31 January 2021 if they are coming from the countries/territories covered by the entry restrictions relating to the Covid-19 variants, including the UNITED STATES, or have been to any or more of these countries within 14 days prior to their arrival. FILIPINO CITIZENS, including dual citizens, may enter the Philippines. They shall be tested upon arrival and shall be quarantined until the result of a subsequent test administered on the fifth day is released. ADVISORY No. 1-2021 1 January 2021 PUBLIC ADVISORY ON INCLUSION OF UNITED STATES IN PH TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS Please be urgently advised that Foreign Passengers are PROHIBITED from entering the Philippines effective 3 January 2021, 12:01 AM until 15 January 2021, if they are coming from the UNITED STATES, or have been to the US within 14 days prior to their arrival. If already in transit and will arrive before 3 January 2021, 12:01 AM, a FOREIGN NATIONAL may be admitted into the Philippines but shall be required to undergo an absolute facility-based 14-day quarantine period, notwithstanding a negative RT-PCR test result. FILIPINO CITIZENS, including dual citizens, will be allowed to enter the Philippines at any time but they shall be required to undergo an absolute facility-based 14-day quarantine period, notwithstanding a negative RT-PCR test result. ADVISORY No. 30 22 October 2020 DUAL CITIZENS WHO ARE VISITING THE PHILIPPINES REQUIRED TO PRESENT PHILIPPINE PASSPORTS BEFORE EXITING THE PHILIPPINES The Philippine Consulate General in New York (PCGNY) wishes to inform our kababayans - who are dual citizens - that the Bureau of Immigration requires the presentation of Philippine Passports before exiting the Philippines. For MINOR CHILDREN: When a Report of Birth has not yet been filed When a Report of Birth has already been filed Parents who report their child’s birth with PCGNY are therefore advised to apply subsequently for a Philippine passport for the child. Parents who have already filed a Report of Birth, without applying for a Philippine passport for their child, must do so before traveling to the Philippines. If the Philippine passport cannot be available in time for the flight to the Philippines, a Travel Document will be issued to the child. ADVISORY No. 29 21 October 2020 CESSATION OF PHILHEALTH-FUNDED COVID-19 TESTING IN FAVOR OF REPATRIATES AND RETURNING OFWs On 14 October 2020, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) announced the cessation of PhilHealth-funded COVID-19 testing to repatriates and Returning Overseas Filipino Workers (ROFWs). In view of this development, repatriates and ROFWs must anticipate a longer turn-around time for the processing of their COVID-19 swab tests’ results. The projected delay will be from five to seven days processing of results, from the previous 24 hours to three days processing time delivered by the PRC. This delay may only last for a week or two. In the meantime, the One-Stop Shop (OSS) has tapped the services of government–run laboratories to fill the void created by the pull out of PRC laboratory services.

ADVISORY No. 28 21 October 2020 NY GOV. CUOMO URGES NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL TO NEW JERSEY, CONNECTICUT AND PENNSYLVANIA AS COVID-19 CASES RISE New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced on 20 October 2020 that the neighboring states of Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania now meet the criteria for the 14-day quarantine but said that travel restrictions might be difficult and unenforceable among the three states given the interconnected nature of the region, the mode of transport, and its impact on the economy. The Consulate reiterates its reminder to our kababayans in the Northeast region to heed their respective state’s health and travel advisories, to avoid non-essential travel, to continue to remain vigilant, practice social distancing, use masks and frequent hand washing to avoid/mitigate the spread of infection.
