Public Advisory 070-202227 May 2022 RT-PCR TEST NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR ALL FULLY-VACCINATEDINDIVIDUALS TRAVELING TO THE PHILIPPINES The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs the public that beginning Monday, 30 May 2022, Filipinos and foreigners who have received their primary series COVID-19 vaccine and at least one COVID-19 booster shot will no longer be required to present a negative COVID-19 test in order to travel to the Philippines.Unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, or individuals whose vaccination status cannot be independently validated, however, would still be required to present a negative RT-PCR test.Acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination are the following:(1)    World Health Organization International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis;(2)    VaxCertPH;(3)    National or state manual/digital vaccination certificate of the country/foreign government; and(4)    Other proof of vaccinated permitted by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.Please click the following link below to read the full details of the latest IATF Resolution No. 168, series of 2022, dated 26 May 2022.https://www.officialgazette.gov.ph/downloads/2022/05may/20220526-IATF-Resolution-168-RRD.pdf

Public Advisory 069-202217 May 2022 NEW YORK CITY NOW AT “HIGH” COVID-19 ALERT LEVEL The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs all kababayan that the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has raised the COVID-19 alert level in New York City to “orange” as a result of high community spread of COVID-19 and pressure on the healthcare system.Kababayan are strongly advised to wear face masks in ALL public indoor settings, limit get-togethers to smaller settings, getting tested, staying home if sick or recently exposed, washing one’s hands, and getting vaccinated or boosted.

Public Advisory 068-202216 May 2022 NEW YORK CITY SOON TO ENTER HIGH COVID-19 ALERT LEVEL The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York wishes to inform all kababayan that the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene will soon be issuing an advisory raising the COVID-19 alert level in New York City to high as a result of the increasing rate of COVID-19 hospitalizations and rolling new cases.The New York State Department of Health, on the other hand, has identified the following high risk counties for COVID-19: Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Sullivan, and Ulster.Kababayan are advised to continue exercising more stringent COVID-19 safety protocols, such as wearing a face mask in public indoor settings, getting tested, staying home if sick or recently exposed, washing one’s hands, and getting vaccinated or boosted.

Public Advisory 066-202210 May 2022 DELIVERY OF ELECTION RESULTS IN NEW YORK TO WASHINGTON DC The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs kababayan that overseas voting was declared successfully concluded yesterday, 09 May 2022. Canvassing of votes was concluded at around 9 p.m. yesterday, 14 hours after close of voting was declared at 7 a.m.However, the results could not be immediately transmitted to the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington D.C. because the transmission equipment could not acquire the required signal due to the presence of high-rise buildings around the Philippine Center.The Consulate has requested the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for authority to hand deliver the election results and other election paraphernalia to the Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) in Washington DC.The authorization is expected to be received tonight, after which the election materials will be delivered first thing tomorrow.Maraming Salamat Po!

Public Advisory 065-202208 May 2022 FINAL RFEMINDER FOR DROPPING OFF OF BALLOT ENVELOPES The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York reminds all registered overseas voters in New York and the nine other states under its jurisdiction that they have only until 6:59 a.m. of Monday, 09 May 2022 to personally drop off their ballot envelopes at the Philippine Center.The Consulate reminds kababayan that voting will close at 7 a.m. EST Monday, 9 May 2022 and any ballot envelope dropped off after 7 a.m. will no longer be counted.The Philippine Center is open 24/7 to receive ballot envelope drop offs.Maraming Salamat Po!

Public Advisory 064-202208 May 2022 SUSPENSION OF CONSULAR OPERATIONS DUE TO ELECTION ACTIVITIES The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs the general public that due to Overseas Voting Operations in connection with the 2022 National Elections, the Consulate is suspending consular operations on Monday and Tuesday, 09 and 10 May 2022.Consular clients with confirmed appointments on these dates will be rescheduled to the earliest available dates. Public Advisory 063-202207 May 2022 ADDITIONAL DAY OF ONSITE VOTING The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs qualified kababayan who were not able to come to the Consulate on Saturday, 07 May 2022, to personally receive and accomplish their ballots that they may be accommodated on Sunday, 08 May 2022, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. to be able to do so.Before proceeding to the Consulate, said registered voters must first check if their names are indicated in the COMELEC’s Certified List of Voters (CLOV), which can be accessed here: https://newyorkpcg.org/pcgny/consular-services/overseas-voting/.Those whose names are indicated in said list should bring with them the following:1. Public Advisory 062-202207 May 2022 AN ADDITIONAL DAY OF BALLOT FEEDING The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs all approved accredited watchers, media entities, election observers, and the general public that due to the influx of ballot envelopes and to ensure the timely counting of all received ballots, the Consulate will be conducting an additional ballot feeding day on Sunday, 08 May starting at 2 p.m. at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center, until all remaining valid ballots are fed and counted. This is in addition to the daily ballot feeding days from 02 to 07 May 2022. The ballot feeding will also be streamed live on the Consulate's Facebook page.On Election Day, Monday, 09 May 2022, the printing of election returns will begin at 7 a.m.All accredited watchers, media entities, and election observers who plan to observe the ballot feeding in person are reminded to comply with Commission on Elections (COMELEC) regulations on presenting their papers to the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI), wearing their IDs while inside the Philippine Center, and adhering to the Consulate's prevailing health protocols.

Public Advisory 061-202206 May 2022 RAIN EXPECTED FOR OVERSEAS VOTING WEEKEND The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York would like to inform kababayan that New York City could see up to three inches of rain on Saturday, 7 May 2022, due to a coastal storm that is expected to move out by Mother’s Day morning, 8 May 2022.Kababayan who are planning to go to the Consulate to vote in person or to drop off their ballots are advised to prepare for chilly, windy and soggy weather.Kababayan should also take into account space constraints inside the Philippine Center due to the volume of voters who are expected to vote in person tomorrow.
