Public Advisory 061-202206 May 2022 RAIN EXPECTED FOR OVERSEAS VOTING WEEKEND The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York would like to inform kababayan that New York City could see up to three inches of rain on Saturday, 7 May 2022, due to a coastal storm that is expected to move out by Mother’s Day morning, 8 May 2022.Kababayan who are planning to go to the Consulate to vote in person or to drop off their ballots are advised to prepare for chilly, windy and soggy weather.Kababayan should also take into account space constraints inside the Philippine Center due to the volume of voters who are expected to vote in person tomorrow.

Public Advisory 060-20226 May 2022 SIMULTANEOUS USE OF ALL VOTE COUNTING MACHINES The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs all accredited media entities, poll watchers, election observers, and the public that pursuant to Commission on Elections (COMELEC) letter Number OFOV-2022-0980 dated 02 May 2022, the Consulate is authorized to use the contingency Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) to feed postal ballots simultaneously with the main VCMs. This is to ensure the timely counting of all ballots that the Consulate has been receiving.The authorization is also extended to allow the simultaneous use of all VCMs for the printing of election returns and other counting related activities on Monday, 09 May 2022.

Public Advisory 058-20224 May 2022 OVERSEAS VOTERS URGED TO PERSONALLYDROP OFF THEIR BALLOTS AT PCG NEW YORK The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York strongly advises registered overseas voters who have just received their election packets to drop off their accomplished ballot envelopes personally at the Consulate to ensure that these will be included in the counting on Monday, 9 May 2022.The United States Postal Service (USPS) does not deliver on weekends and any ballot envelopes mailed and received by them may be held over and delivered only on Monday morning, which would be beyond the 7 a.m. deadline for the Consulate to receive ballots for inclusion in the counting.The Philippine Center will be open 24/7 for the purpose of receiving ballot envelopes for drop off. All ballot envelopes received after 7 a.m. on Monday, 9 May 2022, will no longer be counted.

Public Advisory 057-20224 May 2022 REQUIREMENTS FOR ONSITE VOTING Per Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Letter No. OFOV-2022-0942 dated 29 April 2022, overseas voters registered with the Consulate General of the Philippines in New York who have not received the election packets containing their ballots may come to the Consulate on Saturday, 07 May 2022, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to cast their votes.Before proceeding to the Consulate, said registered voters must first check if their names are indicated in the COMELEC’s Certified List of Voters (CLOV), which can be accessed here link: https://newyorkpcg.org/pcgny/consular-services/overseas-voting/.Those whose names are indicated in said list should bring with them the following:1. Public Advisory 056-20224 May 2022 BALLOT FEEDING SCHEDULE FOR THE FINAL WEEKEND The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs all approved accredited watchers, media entities, election observers, and the general public that to ensure the timely counting of all received ballots, the Consulate will be conducting an additional ballot feeding day on Saturday, 07 May starting at 9 a.m. at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center. This is in addition to the daily ballot feeding days from 02 to 06 May 2022. The ballot feeding will also be streamed live on the Consulate's Facebook page.On Election Day, Monday, 09 May 2022, the final ballot feeding will begin at 7 a.m. until all remaining valid ballots are fed and counted.All accredited watchers, media entities, and election observers who plan to observe the ballot feeding in person are reminded to comply with Commission on Elections (COMELEC) regulations on presenting their papers to the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI), wearing their IDs while inside the Philippine Center, and adhering to the Consulate's prevailing health protocols.

Public Advisory 055-20223 May 2022 BALLOT FEEDING RESUMES IN FULL BLAST The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs the public that ballot feeding operations has resumed in full blast following the successful troubleshooting of two of three Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) that had earlier been rendered inoperable due to technical issues.With technical support guidance from the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), the Consulate was able to fix the malfunctions and ran full diagnostics on the two VCMs. As a result, the second Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI) was able to resume the feeding of ballots from kababayan in the United States northeast.In line with its commitment to ensure that the votes of kababayan are counted, the Consulate had been finding ways to address the technical issues involving the VCMs. It had, in fact dispatched a member of the consular staff to Washington D.C. this morning to borrow a spare unit to allow full ballot feeding operations to resume.

Public Advisory 053-20222 May 2022 THIRD VOTE COUNTING MACHINE FAILURE The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York would like to inform the public that one of the Vote Counting Machines (VCM) that was being used in today's ballot feeding had malfunctioned.Unfortunately, despite the online troubleshooting by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and Consulate personnel, the technical issue involving said VCM could not be resolved.The latest malfunction brings to three the number of VCMs assigned to the Consulate that could no longer be used. Just the same, the Consulate will continue ballot feeding using its last remaining functioning VCM.The COMELEC has been informed of this development and has been requested to replace the defective units as soon as possible so that ballot feeding can proceed more efficiently.
