Public Advisory 067-202211 May 2022 NEW YORK ELECTION RESULTS TRANSMITTED TO COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS (COMELEC) The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs kababayan that the election results in the United States Northeast of the recently concluded overseas voting were successfully delivered to the Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) at the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington D.C. before noon today.The election results in New York were then successfully transmitted by the SBOC to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in Manila at around noon today.

Overseas Voter Registration Extended Until 14 October

ADVISORY No. 21-2021 29 September 2021 OVERSEAS VOTER REGISTRATION EXTENDED UNTIL 14 OCTOBER The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York wishes to inform all kababayan that pursuant to the decision of the Commission on Elections dated 29 September 2021, the period for overseas voting registration has been extended for two (2) weeks until 14 October 2021. Registration will continue at the Consulate from Mondays to Fridays, except US and Philippine holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Philippine Center in Manhattan. No appointments are necessary. Under the Overseas Absentee Voting Act of 2003, all qualified Philippine citizens, including dual citizens, who are not disqualified by law, and who are at least 18 years of age may register as an overseas voter at the Philippine Center in New York. Existing overseas voters who have changed addresses, changed their names due to marriage, among others, or have corrections in their entries should likewise modify or update their registration with the Consulate. Voters who have also failed to vote in the last two national elections have to reactivate their registration as well to be able to vote in next year’s national elections in the Philippines. More information may be accessed at newyorkpcg.org
