Public Advisory 071-2022 27 May 2022 TRAVEL INSURANCE NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs the public that beginning Monday, 30 May 2022, foreign nationals entering the Philippines will no longer be required to present a travel insurance during immigration entry formalities. Securing a travel insurance, however, is encouraged. This is development is pursuant to IATF Resolution No. 168, series of 2022, dated 26 May 2022, which can be visited by clicking the following link: https://www.officialgazette.gov.ph/downloads/2022/05may/20220526-IATF-Resolution-168-RRD.pdf It will be recalled that foreigners were originally required to obtain a travel insurance with a minimum coverage of US$35,000 for the duration of their stay in the Philippines.

Public Advisory 070-202227 May 2022 RT-PCR TEST NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR ALL FULLY-VACCINATEDINDIVIDUALS TRAVELING TO THE PHILIPPINES The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs the public that beginning Monday, 30 May 2022, Filipinos and foreigners who have received their primary series COVID-19 vaccine and at least one COVID-19 booster shot will no longer be required to present a negative COVID-19 test in order to travel to the Philippines.Unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, or individuals whose vaccination status cannot be independently validated, however, would still be required to present a negative RT-PCR test.Acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination are the following:(1)    World Health Organization International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis;(2)    VaxCertPH;(3)    National or state manual/digital vaccination certificate of the country/foreign government; and(4)    Other proof of vaccinated permitted by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.Please click the following link below to read the full details of the latest IATF Resolution No. 168, series of 2022, dated 26 May 2022.https://www.officialgazette.gov.ph/downloads/2022/05may/20220526-IATF-Resolution-168-RRD.pdf

Press Release EGC-021-202223 May 2022 NEW YORK PCG CONDUCTS CONSULAR OUTREACH ACTIVITY IN ROCHESTER, NEW YORK The Consulate General of the Philippines began its Consular Outreach season for 2022 by travelling to Rochester, New York for its “Konsulado on the Go” service which benefitted nearly 150 kababayan.The consular outreach mission was a co-sponsored by the Filipino American Association of Rochester, the Fil-Am Community of Upstate New York, Inc. (based in Syracuse, New York), and the Filipino American Association of Western New York (based in Buffalo, New York). The consular mission provided passport renewal, dual citizenship, and notarial services for members of the Filipino community in the Northwest of New York State.A total of 127 services were extended during the mission in Rochester.Ms. Tet Carreon-Varrera of the Filipino American Association of Rochester commended the Consulate Team for a job well done.“It was a very successful event. New York PCG Conducts Consular Outreach Activity in Bergenfield, New Jersey

Press Release EGC-020-2022 14 May 2022 NEW YORK PCG CONDUCTS CONSULAR OUTREACH ACTIVITY IN BERGENFIELD, NEW JERSEY The Consulate General of the Philippines kicked off its Consular Outreach program for the year on Saturday with its “Konsulado on the Go” service in Bergenfield, New Jersey that served nearly 300 Kababayan. The consular outreach mission, which was undertaken in partnership with Bergenfield Mayor Arvin Amatorio, provided passport renewal, dual citizenship, and notarial services for members of the Filipino community in the area. A total of 167 services were extended during the mission in Bergenfield, which hosts one of the biggest Filipino population in New Jersey. Mayor Amatorio expressed his appreciation to the Consulate and to the Consular Team led by Consul Ricarte Abejuela III for accommodating his constituents. Kababayan also commended the team for their professionalization, friendliness, and efficiency. The outreach services were highly appreciated especially by the senior citizens who said it saved them time and effort to travel all the way to New York City.  The community and the organizers all look forward to a repeat visit in the near future. Public Advisory 066-202210 May 2022 DELIVERY OF ELECTION RESULTS IN NEW YORK TO WASHINGTON DC The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York informs kababayan that overseas voting was declared successfully concluded yesterday, 09 May 2022. Canvassing of votes was concluded at around 9 p.m. yesterday, 14 hours after close of voting was declared at 7 a.m.However, the results could not be immediately transmitted to the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington D.C. because the transmission equipment could not acquire the required signal due to the presence of high-rise buildings around the Philippine Center.The Consulate has requested the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for authority to hand deliver the election results and other election paraphernalia to the Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) in Washington DC.The authorization is expected to be received tonight, after which the election materials will be delivered first thing tomorrow.Maraming Salamat Po!
