Filipino Night with New York Knicks Caps Off Fil-Am History Month
29 October 2019, New York City. – Around 800 Filipino and Filipino-Americans from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut went to the iconic Madison Square Garden to cheer for the New York Knicks as it took on Chicago Bulls on 28 October 2019 in a game billed as Filipino Night in celebration of Filipino American History Month.
An Exhibit Celebrating Filipino Culture in Colors Opens at the Philippine Center
30 October 2019, New York City - "East-West Fusion: A Celebration of Filipino Culture in Colors", an exhibit featuring mainly the vibrant and bold colors characteristic of Mindanao art, was unveiled on 28 October 2019 at the lobby of the Philippine Center in New York by the artist, Ms. Marie Fe Conde-Acera, together with Consul General Claro S. Cristobal.
PCG New York Marks Fil-Am History Month with Film Screening of Manila 1945 and a Panel Discussion on Filipino Americans Across Generations
New York, 25 October 2019 – In celebration of Filipino American History Month, about 110 guests mostly Filipinos, Filipino Americans, and Americans, showed up at the Philippine Center New York on 24 October 2019 for the film screening of Spyron-AV Manila's documentary film, "Manila 1945: The Rest of the Story" and a panel discussion featuring five distinguished Filipino-Americans of diverse background coming from different generations to share their experiences growing up as Filipino Americans.

Liwanag Art Exhibit Opens at the Philippine Center in New York
25 September 2019, New York City. - "Liwanag," an art exhibit by renowned Filipino-Spanish artist Maria Mari Murga, was successfully launched in the evening of 24 September, at the Lobby Gallery of the Philippine Center. The opening night was attended by Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teodoro Locsin Jr., Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez, DFA Undersecretaries Enrique Manalo and Brigido Dulay who are in New York for the UN General Assembly.Mr. Henry B. Howard of the US-Philippines Society, Mr. Luca Parolari of Pintô Museum, art enthusiasts and members of the Filipino-American community in the tristate area likewise attended the opening ceremony.
