23 April 2020- Immigration and Employment in the Time of Covid-19. The Philippine Consulate General in New York successfully held an informative forum on the effects of Covid-19 on US immigration and labor policies watched by thousands of kababayans in the US and in the Philippines.
21 April 2020- Launch of the Livestream Zumba and Stretching Sessions. PCG New York, together with the Philippine-American Friendship Community (PAFCom) and Ms. Jen Furer of Makilala TV, launched the online Zumba and stretching sessions to encourage our kababayans to exercise while staying at home.
18 April 2020- Filipino American Health Forum on Covid-19 Episode 1. The Philippine Consulate General in New York, in partnership with the Association of Philippine Physicians in America (APPA), Kalusugan Coalition, Philippine Nurses Association in New York, and the National Federation of Filipino American Associations-New York, organized a series of health forums on Covid-19. The first part discussed the epidemiology of Covid-19.
18 April 2020- ConGen's Media Hour. ConGen Claro S. Cristobal held an online press briefing with members of the Filipino American Press Club of New York to update our kababayans on the changes on the services of the Consulate. The session was streamed live through the Consulate's Facebook account which enabled members of the community to participate.
21 March 2020-Promotion of Filipino Restaurants Offering Curb-Side Ordering, Pick Up, or Delivery. To help Filipino Restaurants affected by the Covid-19 situation, the Consulate General, using its Facebook page, encouraged Fil-Am community members to order from Filipino restaurants in their area. Many of the affected restaurants are Filipino Restaurant Week participants.
21 March 2020- The online discussion Kabilang Ka, Pabilang Ka was held in partnership with the National Federation of Filipino American Organizations to encourage Filipino-Americans to participate in the 2020 US Census.
11 March 2020, New York- The Philippine Consulate General in New York conducted a back-to-back outreach in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Toms River, New Jersey on 7 and 8 March, respectively, to provide necessary consular services to kababayans in the area.
2 March 2020, New York- Consul General Claro S. Cristobal signed today the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with New York University represented by Carolyn Dinshaw, Dean for the Humanities, Faculty of Arts and Science, for the establishment of a Philippine Studies program at the prestigious university.
02 March 2020, New York – The Philippine Consulate General in New York hosted a Focus Group Discussion on "Insurgency Situation in the Philippines and Other Updates" on 28 February 2020 at the Philippine Center New York's Kalayaan Hall.
24 February 2020 –Consul General Claro S. Cristobal met with the members of the Filipino-American Press Club of New York (FAPCNY) for the ConGen Press Hour held at the Philippine Center last 21 February.
