NEW YORK, 25 August 2018 – Dubbed "Kwentuhang Pambata" or Children's Story Time, the Philippine Consulate General in New York's celebration of Buwan ng Wika was held on Saturday, 25 August 2018 at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center. The event was attended by about 30 Filipino-American children ages 3 to 12 years old.
NEW YORK, 20 August 2018 – The local governments of General Santos City and Jersey City formalized their Sister Cities Agreement last 14 August at a Signing Ceremony held at the Council Chambers, Jersey City Hall, New Jersey.

NEW YORK, 15 August 2018 – The 20th annual Fiesta in America Expo and Cultural Show (FIA) opened last 11-12 August at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Seacaucus, New Jersey, showcasing the best of Filipino products, food, destinations, and performances.

30 July 2018, New York – On the 28th of July, 2018, 65 students of the 20th Paaralan sa Konsulado (PSK) completed their summer learning course with a colorful program featuring folk dances, choral recitation, singing of Filipino songs and the awarding of certificates and prizes. The culminating activity was held at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center in New York. PSK students concluded the five fun Saturdays of learning and discovering their Philippine identity and community.
NEW YORK, 21 July 2018 – The students of 20th Paaralan sa Konsulado (PSK), together with their volunteer teachers from the Association of Filipino Teachers in America (AFTA) and AFTA summer interns were the guests to a formal luncheon hosted by Consul General Claro S. Cristobal and Madam Marilou Cristobal, as part of the PSK's special feature class. The luncheon was a mockup Independence Day celebration, which the children attended in formal national dress.
NEW YORK, 24 July 2018 – The first batch of Diskubre Tour delegates wrapped up their immersion trip in the Philippines covering Manila, Baguio, Sagada, Banaue, and Ifugao last 7 to 17 July.
