Philippines Headlines Cultural Show in Ellis Island New York

NEW YORK, 17 May 2018 – In celebration of Asian-American Heritage Month, the National Park Service, in cooperation with the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company presented the Ellis Island Asian American Heritage Festival last 6 May 2018 at the Great Hall of Immigration at Ellis Island.




11 May 2018, New York - The Philippine Consulate General held the 4th Geographic Warden System General Assembly on 05 May 2018 at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center in New York. In attendance were more than 35 wardens and FilCom leaders from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine as well as officers of the Filipino American Legal Defense and Education Fund, who have been very actively involved in assisting the Consulate on various cases as well as community education events.
NEW YORK, 10 May 2018 – Explore Islands Philippines Expo was launched at the Vanderbilt East Hall of Grand Central Terminal in New York City yesterday, 9 May 2018. The expo, organized by JS Productions Inc. and sponsored by the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT) and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), showcases the Philippines' cultural rich heritage, top tourism destinations as well as trade and investment opportunities.
22 April 2018 - As part of its ongoing effort to engage with Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in the US Northeast Region through Sports Diplomacy, the Philippine Consulate General in New York personnel formed the PHL Basketball Team and participated in the NJ Baller Winter Basketball Tournament in Jersey City, New Jersey from January 28 – April 22, 2018.
NEW YORK, 20 April 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in New York (PCG-NY), in partnership with the Philippine Department of Tourism New York (PDOTNY), Philippine Airlines, Tanduay Asian Rum, and GMA Pinoy TV, hosted the media launch for the Filipino Restaurant Week (FRW) 2018 last 03 May 2018 at the Philippine Center New York.
NEW YORK, 28 April 2018 – The ASEAN Consulates General in New York, through the initiative of the Philippine Consulate General and in cooperation with the International Political Economy and Development Department of Fordham University, gathered together their communities at the McNally Ampitheater at Fordham University for the first ever ASEAN Short Film Festival on 28 April 2018. Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand participated in the Festival with a short film entry each from their respective countries.
