Fil-Am Nurses Equip Consulate, PH Center Personnel with Life-Saving Emergency Response Skills PNA-NY facilitators demonstrate lifesaving techniques for adult and infant emergency situations NEW YORK, 09 May 2026 – The Philippine Center Management Board (PCMB), in partnership with the Philippine Nurses Association of New York, Inc. (PNA-NY), conducted a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training session on 09 May 2026 for personnel of the Philippine Consulate General in New York and PCMB, strengthening their preparedness to respond to medical emergencies. PNA-NY facilitators led the hands-on session based on American Heart Association guidelines. The training covered the proper technique for chest compressions, the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), CPR procedures for adults and infants, and appropriate responses to choking incidents. Participants were also given the opportunity to practice the techniques under the guidance of the facilitators. The activity was organized as part of continuous efforts to promote safety and readiness among Consulate and PCMB personnel. By equipping participants with basic life-saving skills, the training aimed to help them respond with greater confidence in emergencies where immediate action may be critical while waiting for professional medical responders.
