NEW YORK, 22 JANUARY 2019-- Cebu-based artist Gil Francis Maningo and New York-based Alfonso Ompod, Jr. made a promise when they were students in the UP College of Fine Arts that they will hold a joint exhibit of their art works. Forty years later, their promise was fulfilled when their Fishers of Men exhibit at the Philippine Center opened on 22 January 2019.

EW YORK, 22 January 2019 – The Philippine Consulate General in New York (PCGNY) held an intimate briefing and discussion with the New York University graduate class on "Institutions, Governance, and International Development" led by Professor SaloCoslovsky last 16 January at the Philippine Center Boardroom.
In an effort to bring its services closer to its constituents, the Philippine Consulate General annually conducts Consular Outreach Services. Organized in partnership with Filipino community organizations in the area, the Consular Outreach Services accepts applications for Philippine passport issuance (new, renewal and amendment of entries), legalization of documents, civil registry documents (birth, marriage, and death) and reacquisition/retention of Philippine citizenship.In addition, some Consular Outreach Services also offer information dissemination on some projects and programs that might be of interest to the Filipino community. The Social Security System occasionally joins the Consular Outreach. Setting an appointment with the SSS is not necessary. With the upcoming 2022 Philippine Presidential Elections, consularoutreach missions, beginning 2020, will also applications for Registration as Overseas Voters.
