NEW YORK, 13 March 2018 – An engineer, a publisher, and a broadcaster. Three women who defied stereotypes and overcame obstacles were honored at this year's Distinguished Filipino Women hosted by the Philippine Consulate General in New York at the Philippine Center last 12 March 2018. The event was held in commemoration of International Women's Month.

13 March 2018, New York — The Philippine Department of Agriculture (DA) led a delegation composed of the DA's Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and 7 Philippine seafood companies at the Seafood Expo North America (SENA) held from 11 to 13 March at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

NEW YORK, 12 March 2018 – During his official trip to Boston, Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez met with the academic community of Massachusetts for the first time in Harvard University last 9 March 2018. He was accompanied by Consul General Ma. Theresa B. Dizon-De Vega and Vice Consul Khrystina Corpuz Popov of the Philippine Consulate General in New York (PCGNY) and Minister Rosanna Voogel and First Secretary Gunther Sales of the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C.

02 March 2018, New York – Consul General Ma. Theresa Dizon-De Vega met with Filipino students taking up Master of Laws (LLM) and Juris Doctor (JD) studies at different New York universities last 2 March as part of the Consulate's efforts to further enhance coordination with Filipino student groups and to help them establish networks and support systems within the Fil-Am community.

6 March 2018, New York – The Society of Foreign Consuls in New York (SOFC) honored Consul General Theresa Dizon-De Vega and Filipina-American Educator and Early Childhood Learning Advocate Victoria Calderon with citations at the Society's International Women's Day event held at the Bohemian Hall in New York City on 05 March 2018.
