OVERSEAS VOTER REGISTRATION EXTENDED UNTIL 14 OCTOBER

The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York wishes to inform all kababayan that pursuant to the decision of the Commission on Elections dated 29 September 2021, the period for overseas voting registration has been extended for two (2) weeks until 14 October 2021.
 
Registration will continue at the Consulate from Mondays to Fridays, except US and Philippine holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Philippine Center in Manhattan. No appointments are necessary.
 
Under the Overseas Absentee Voting Act of 2003, all qualified Philippine citizens, including dual citizens, who are not disqualified by law, and who are at least 18 years of age may register as an overseas voter at the Philippine Center in New York.
 
Existing overseas voters who have changed addresses, changed their names due to marriage, among others, or have corrections in their entries should likewise modify or update their registration with the Consulate. Voters who have also failed to vote in the last two national elections have to reactivate their registration as well to be able to vote in next year’s national elections in the Philippines.
