REDUCED QUARANTINE TIME FOR FULLY VACCINATED FILIPINOS
TRAVELING TO THE PHILIPPINES
The Philippine Consulate General in New York wishes to inform the members of the Filipino Community that vaccinated kababayan traveling from the United States will now have reduced quarantine time upon arrival in the Philippines.
Per Resolution No. 144-A of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), authorities have relaxed quarantine requirements to allow fully vaccinated kababayan from the US to undergo facility-based quarantine for only five days instead of the previously required seven days.
For kababayan to be released from facility-based quarantine, they must test negative for the coronavirus disease on the RT-PCR test to be taken on the fifth day of their confinement. They will then be allowed to go on home where they will quarantine for another five (5) days.
For kababayan from the US to be able to avail themselves of this, they must present digital or original vaccination certificates issued by their respective states or by the Centers for Disease Control to prove that they are fully-vaccinated.
