ADVISORY No. 24-2021

19 November 2021

QUARANTINE PERIOD FOR FULLY VACCINATED FILIPINOS FROM US
SHORTENED FROM FIVE TO THREE DAYS

The Philippine Consulate General in New York wishes to inform the public that kababayan from the United States will have a much easier time going back home to the Philippines this holiday season.

Per Resolution No. 149-A of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATF), starting November 22, fully-vaccinated individuals who have pre-departure RT-PCR tests within 72 hours will only need to undergo facility-based quarantine for three (3) days instead of the previously required five (5) days.

After the third day, they would have to take an RT-PCR test. Once the test results turn out negative, they are enjoined to self-monitor up to the 14th day from the date of their arrival.

This latest development will greatly contribute to the on-going recovery of the tourism sector this holiday season while also providing more time to those who want to return home to be with their loved ones in the Philippines.

Unvaccinated, partially unvaccinated individuals shall undergo facility-based quarantine for seven days, after which they would have to take an RT-PCR test, to be followed by home quarantine up to the 14th day upon the release of a negative test result.
