The Philippine Consulate General in New York celebrated the achievements of 39 Filipino and Filipino-American graduates from colleges and universities across the ten states under Post’s jurisdiction in two ceremonies held in New York and Cambridge, Massachusetts.

On 18 May 2024, Post held the 11th PGrad at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center, where 12 Filipino and Filipino-American graduates were given certificates of recognition and medals of excellence.  Among them, three individuals received special recognition for graduating with Latin honors, with two achieving summa cum laude and one cum laude.

Pinoy Graduation 2024, held on 20 May 2024, recognized 27 graduates of Harvard University for their academic achievements. Organized with the Harvard Club of the Philippines Global, the ceremony was held at the Harvest Restaurant in Cambridge, Massachusetts

At both ceremonies, the undersigned delivered a keynote speech congratulating the graduates and highlighting their potential to effect positive change across diverse fields while drawing strength and inspiration from their Filipino heritage. The graduates were encouraged to harness their potential, be ambassadors of the Filipino spirit of excellence, and lead the way toward a better future.

Post reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Filipino scholars and invited the graduates to participate in its mentorship program. This program pairs graduates with accomplished Filipino professionals who will guide them as they bridge the gap between academic success and professional success, thereby fostering a culture of Filipinos helping fellow Filipinos. /END
