New York PCG Concludes 2024 Outreach Program with Back-To-Back Consular Missions in Philadelphia and New Jersey

NEW YORK, 30 October 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General in New York concluded its 2024 Consular Outreach Program with back-to-back outreach missions held in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania and Stratford, New Jersey on 26 and 27 October, respectively. The two-day initiative served nearly 220 kababayan, facilitating essential consular services closer to home for communities in these areas.

Organized in partnership with the Filipino Executive Council of Greater Philadelphia (FECGP) and the Philippine Community of Southern New Jersey, Inc. (PCSNJ), the outreach events provided passport renewal, dual citizenship processing, notarial, and civil registry services for members of the Filipino community in the two cities as well as their surrounding areas. Close to 100 services were provided in Pennsylvania and 125 New Jersey.

Representatives of FECGP and PCSNJ commended the Consulate’s dedication to expanding accessibility for Filipino-Americans, noting the benefit of these services for Filipinos across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Many expressed hope that the success of these missions would encourage the continuation of outreach programs in the coming years, allowing more Filipinos to access the support they need without extensive travel.

The Consulate’s consular outreach series for 2024 covered four missions across five cities within the 10 states under its jurisdiction. By conducting close to 700 services this year, the Consulate has enabled a wide reach, ensuring that members of the Filipino community, regardless of location, can access essential services. END
