PH Consul General Visits PNB New York, Discusses Financial Services for Filipinos and U.S. Businesses

NEW YORK, 12 February 2025 – The Philippine Consulate General in New York reaffirmed its commitment to supporting U.S. businesses exploring investment opportunities in the Philippines during Consul General Senen T. Mangalile’s visit to the Philippine National Bank (PNB) New York Branch. He met with First Vice President and General Manager Eric B. Bustamante to discuss the bank’s services for overseas Filipinos and businesses looking to engage in the Philippine market.

During the visit, General Manager Bustamante highlighted PNB’s remittance services, investment products, and financial advisory programs tailored for Filipinos abroad. He also discussed PNB New York’s flagship program, which enables overseas Filipinos to finance property purchases in the Philippines. Additionally, he outlined PNB’s financial solutions for U.S. businesses interested in investing in the Philippines, including corporate banking services, trade financing, and assistance in setting up business accounts to facilitate cross-border transactions.

The discussion further covered the bank’s efforts to enhance digital banking solutions, ensuring greater accessibility and efficiency for both individual clients and business entities. PNB provides customized financial support for businesses seeking to expand operations, invest in real estate, or engage in trade with Philippine-based partners.

Consul General Mangalile commended PNB for its vital role in strengthening financial connectivity between Filipinos in the U.S. and their families in the Philippines. He reiterated the Consulate’s support in raising awareness of the bank’s services and ensuring that Filipinos and U.S. businesses in the U.S. Northeast remain informed about available financial opportunities.
