NEW YORK, 08 February 2025 – The Philippine Consulate General in New York proudly celebrated a historic milestone in Filipino fashion as FILIPINXT: The New Era of Philippine Fashion became the first all-Filipino fashion show to be officially included in the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) calendar. This groundbreaking achievement underscores the growing recognition of Filipino creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation on the world stage.
The Fall/Winter Fashion Show 2025, held at 4W 43rd Street in New York City, featured six distinguished Filipino designers: Jasmin Baac (Bagoyan), Leo Bartolome (Edited Limited), Adante Leyesa (Adante Bags and Fashion Accessories), Gabby Garcia (Tagpi), and Bessie Besana (FILIPINXT Co-Founder and Fashion Designer). Their collections seamlessly blended Filipino heritage with modern design, further solidifying the Philippines’ reputation for producing world-class talent in the fashion industry.
