JOB VACANCIES: ONE (1) BUILDING MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL/HANDYMAN The Philippine Consulate General in New York invites all who are interested and qualified to apply for the position of Building Maintenance Personnel/Handyman. The successful applicant will perform the following tasks: - Inspection of the building and its common areas, elevator, sidewalk, yard, and main entrance. - Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping and disposal of garbage & recyclables, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. - Implementation of all Training Manuals necessary for the upkeep of the building. - Building maintenance and repairs, which include, among others, simple carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. - Respond promptly to emergency calls and take the necessary actions to ensure the safety and security of the building and its occupants. - Serve as point person for all occupant-related issues; and - Perform any other duties reasonably necessary for the proper maintenance and operation of the building. The position requires reporting at the Consulate for five (5) days a week and for a minimum of eight (8) hours of service per day from Monday to Friday.
