Public Advisory 019-20227 April 2022 STATUS OF OF ELECTION MATERIALS FOR THE 2022 NATIONAL POLLS The Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines informs the public that Vote Counting Machines, overseas ballots, and other election materials intended for the forthcoming national elections in the Philippines are still in transit and have not yet arrived in New York.The Consulate has been informed that the Vote Counting Machines and other election paraphernalia that were shipped by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) from Manila are in Alaska but are expected to arrive within the week.We issued an advisory about this delay and the postponement of the scheduled final testing and sealing of the Vote Counting Machines yesterday.We wish to emphasize to the public that the Consulate is committed to ensuring the proper conduct of the overseas elections and in protecting the outcome.We have been strongly promoting overseas voter registration and awareness about this year's national elections. Public Advisory 015-202216 March 2022 TECHNICAL ISSUES ON PASSPORT APPOINTMENT SLOTS RESOLVED The Philippine Consulate General in New York wishes to inform all kababayan who booked passport appointments on Sunday, 13 March 2022 but did not receive confirmation emails that technical adjustments have been completed to address the issues concerning non-receipt of confirmation emails in the Global Online Appointment System (GOAS). Please note that all applications with confirmed status scheduled for 16 March 2022 onwards should have already received their appointment packets/confirmation email. Applicants who did not receive a confirmation email as of today would have to rebook their appointment. Passport slots are released every Sunday and Wednesday evenings at 9 p.m. ET. Public Advisory: PCG New York Reiterates Reminder to Kababayan to Take Precautions and be Vigilant Due to Another Anti-Asian Attack Involving Another Filipino

Public Advisory 014-2022 11 March 2022 PCG NEW YORK REITERATES REMINDER TO KABABAYAN TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS AND BE VIGILANT DUE TO ANOTHER ANTI-ASIAN ATTACK INVOLVING ANOTHER FILIPINO The Philippine Consulate General in New York reiterates its reminder for members of the Filipino Community to always be vigilant and to take the necessary precautions, especially when taking the subway or when outside their residences. This reminder is being issued in the wake of yet another pushing incident in the subway that resulted to injuries to another kababayan. The latest incident involved a kababayan in her late 50s who struck her head after she was shoved by an unidentified man while going down the stairs at the 179th Street station of the F train in Jamaica on Thursday. The incident came hours after a 65-year-old kababayan sustained injuries after she was pushed down by an unidentified man at the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train platform also in Jamaica. The Consulate reminds kababayan to report such incidents to authorities by calling 911. Kababayan are also requested to inform the Consulate of any such incidents by calling its Assistance to Nationals hotline at (917) 239-4119.

Public Advisory: DHS Issues Advisory Due to Heightened Terrorism Threat, Calling on Public to Stay Informed and Prepared

Public Advisory 010-2022 09 February 2022 DHS ISSUES ADVISORY DUE TO HEIGHTENED TERRORISM THREAT, CALLING ON PUBLIC TO STAY INFORMED AND PREPARED The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin on 7 February 2022. It cited that the United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors. These threat actors seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest, which could potentially inspire acts of violence. Mass casualty attacks and other acts of targeted violence conducted by lone offenders and small groups acting in furtherance of ideological beliefs and/or personal grievances pose an ongoing threat to the nation.
