PH highlighted as premier investment destination in ‘Why Invest in the Philippines?' book launch in New York

The Philippine Consulate General in New York and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in New York, in partnership with the Asian Consulting Group (ACG), hosted the New York book launch of “Why Invest in the Philippines” on 22 April (Monday) at the Philippine Center in New York. The event is part of ACG’s 2024 International Tax and Investment Roadshow in the United States.

Consul General Senen T. Mangalile delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the Consulate’s unwavering commitment to positioning the Philippines as a premier investment destination. He elaborated, “The Consulate, along with the PTIC, remains dedicated to empowering potential investors with comprehensive resources, insightful data, and dedicated support services. Our aim is to ensure that potential investors fully understand the dynamics and opportunities of the Philippine market and can effectively navigate its landscape.”

Mr. Mon Abrea, Chair and Chief Tax Advisor of ACG and author of the book, delivered a comprehensive presentation that covered the business and investment landscape in the Philippines. He discussed the Philippines as an investment destination, the country’s efforts to ensure ease of doing business, tax incentives offered to foreign investors, and ongoing tax and policy reforms, among other topics.

During his presentation, Mr. Abrea said, “We in the private sector work closely with the government and policymakers to enhance business and investment opportunities in the Philippines, including following through on the implementation of recent tax and ease of doing business reforms.”

The book launch drew a diverse audience of over 40 attendees, each of whom received a complimentary signed copy of the book. END
