During the luncheon, the Consul General announced the Consulate’s upcoming events for June and July. Tourism Attaché Francisco M. Lardizabal, Vice Consul Cathe Ryne Denice S. Aguilar, and Atty. Alejandra Clemente of Rajah Tours Philippines attended the event. For June, the Consulate has organized or co-organized a number of events to commemorate Philippine Independence Day. PH Consulate General in New York visits Boston Metropolitan Area in Massachusetts for trade and investment opportunities The Philippine Consulate General in New York, led by Consul General Senen T. Mangalile, undertook a visit to Massachusetts on 20-21 May to explore trade and investment opportunities. The tour included high-level meetings and visits to renowned research and development (R&D) institutions to foster collaboration between the Philippines and the Boston Metropolitan Area, particularly in innovation, sustainability, and economic growth. On 20 May, the delegation met with the Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion under Boston City Mayor Michelle Wu. Discussions centered on the comparative advantage of the Philippines in developing plant-based fibers such as abaca, banana, and pineapple. Boston representatives highlighted resources, including the Silklab at Tufts University, and its active partnerships with U.S.-based business incubators Sagely, Scroobious, and SeaAhead. Philippine Consulate General in New York Conducts Consular Outreach Mission in Bristol, Connecticut  READY TO SERVE! Filipinos in Connecticut and nearby states awaiting their turn to avail of consular services at the community center of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bristol, CT. (Photo by Mr. Jose Magaso) NEW YORK, 27 May 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General in New York successfully conducted its first Consular Outreach Mission of the year in Bristol City, Hartford County, Connecticut on 24 and 25 May 2024. The mission served nearly 150 Filipinos residing in Connecticut and neighboring states. The outreach mission was conducted in partnership with the Pilipino Association of Connecticut, Inc. (PACI), led by its President, Mr. Bienvenido Balaoing, and took place at the community center of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on both days. The range of consular services offered included passport application and renewal, retention and reacquisition of Philippine citizenship under RA 9225 (Dual Citizenship), civil registration, and the legalization and notarization of documents.
