Taste of the Philippines Showcased in Philadelphia
Press Release EGC-026-20223 October 2022 TASTE OF THE PHILIPPINES SHOWCASED IN PHILADELPHIA New York, 03 October 2022 – As part of the celebration of the Filipino American History Month (FAHM), the Philippine Consulate General in New York participated in the “Taste of the Philippines”, a culinary and cultural show held on Sunday, 02 October 2022 at Cherry Street Pier, Philadelphia.The Taste of the Philippines was organized by the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia (PACC-GP) in cooperation with the Asian American Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Philippine American Chamber of Commerce, National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA), Filipino American Association of Pittsburg (FAAP), Philippine Folk Arts Society Inc. (PFASI), Kapitbayan Filipino American Association Inc., and Philly Pinoy, among others, with the support of the Consulate.Folk dances such as Banga, Jota Pangasinan, Paseo De Iloilo, Kadal Tajo, Paunjalay, Tapis, and Dinagyang were performed by the Filipino American youth of the Filipino American Association of Pittsburgh during the event.
