ADVISORY No. 23-2021 20 October 2021 REDUCED QUARANTINE TIME FOR FULLY VACCINATED FILIPINOS TRAVELING TO THE PHILIPPINES The Philippine Consulate General in New York wishes to inform the members of the Filipino Community that vaccinated kababayan traveling from the United States will now have reduced quarantine time upon arrival in the Philippines.Per Resolution No. 144-A of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the  Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), authorities have relaxed quarantine requirements to allow fully vaccinated kababayan from the US to undergo facility-based quarantine for only five days instead of the previously required seven days.For kababayan to be released from facility-based quarantine, they must test negative for the coronavirus disease on the RT-PCR test to be taken on the fifth day of their confinement. ADVISORY No. 22-2021 12 October 2021 UPDATE ON TESTING AND QUARANTINE PROTOCOLS FOR INTERNATIONAL ARRIVING PASSENGERS IN ALL PORTS OF ENTRY IN THE PHILIPPINES The Philippine Consulate General in New York wishes to inform the public that, as per IATF Resolution No. 142, effective 08 October 2021, the protocols for international arriving passengers from “Green” List and “Yellow” List countries, which includes the United States of America, in all ports of entry in the Philippines shall be as follows:Fully vaccinated individuals need to undergo facility-based quarantine until the release of the negative result of their RT-PCR testing taken on the fifth (5th) day from the date of their arrival after which, they shall be required to undergo home quarantine until their tenth (10th) day.Foreign nationals shall be required to secure their own pre-booked accommodation of at least six (6) days;Unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, or individuals whose vaccination status cannot be independently verified or confirmed by Philippine authorities as valid and authentic shall be required to undergo facility-based quarantine until the release of the negative result of their RT-PCR testing taken on the seventh (7th) day.After which, they shall be required to undergo home quarantine until their fourteenth (14th) day. Press Release 30 September 2021 Consul General in New York Meets Harvard Filipino Community CAMBRIDGE, MA – Consul General Elmer G. Cato met with Filipino officials, personnel, and students of Harvard University on 29 September 2021 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The event hosted by Harvard Board of Overseas member Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine, was attended by incoming and returning Harvard students across degree programs. Harvard staff and fellows including Maria Carolina V. Dominguez, Harvard Business School Alumni Board member, and Myrish Cadapan Antonio, Director at the Harvard Kennedy School. Consul General Cato thanked the host and organizers and emphasized the importance of active involvement of the Harvard Filipino community in the development of the Philippines. Overseas Voter Registration Extended Until 14 October

ADVISORY No. 21-2021 29 September 2021 OVERSEAS VOTER REGISTRATION EXTENDED UNTIL 14 OCTOBER The Consulate General of the Philippines in New York wishes to inform all kababayan that pursuant to the decision of the Commission on Elections dated 29 September 2021, the period for overseas voting registration has been extended for two (2) weeks until 14 October 2021. Registration will continue at the Consulate from Mondays to Fridays, except US and Philippine holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Philippine Center in Manhattan. No appointments are necessary. Under the Overseas Absentee Voting Act of 2003, all qualified Philippine citizens, including dual citizens, who are not disqualified by law, and who are at least 18 years of age may register as an overseas voter at the Philippine Center in New York. Existing overseas voters who have changed addresses, changed their names due to marriage, among others, or have corrections in their entries should likewise modify or update their registration with the Consulate. Kababayan are urged to heed instructions from authorities, particularly in areas where a state of emergency has been declared such as parts of New York, including Long Island, New York City, and Hudson Valley, and Rhode Island, and where emergency preparations are underway such as Connecticut. ADVISORY No. 16-2021 20 August 2021 PUBLIC ADVISORY ON TROPICAL STOR HENRI The Philippine Consulate General advises members of the Filipino Community along the path of Tropical Storm Henri, especially those residents of New England and Long Island, to monitor the movement of the storm, undertake all necessary preparations, and heed the warnings of local officials as the storm is expected to bring heavy rains, strong winds and heavy surf, which could cause life-threatening flash floods. In addition, there is the danger of storm surge that could raise water levels near the coast and be accompanied by large and dangerous waves. Meteorologists warn that this is the most serious hurricane risk in New England in 30 years.
